It’s important to arrange for someone to drive you home after surgery and in some cases if needed offer help for a couple days. There are also important guidelines to follow regarding things like eating, drinking, smoking and other things to be aware of before surgery. Dr. Griner will go over these with you prior to your surgery.
Day of Surgery
On the day of the surgery you’ll meet your Anesthesiologist, see Dr. Griner and meet your operative Nurse. This is a good opportunity to ask any last minute questions. The length of the surgery can vary depending on your case; please ask Dr. Griner about your specific surgery to get a better idea.
The length of your recovery time and what you can expect after surgery is of course largely dependent on the severity of your case and surgery. In some cases multiple procedures are necessary to achieve optimal results. Dr. Griner will discuss in good detail what you can expect after your surgery.
